Today, in Kalapara upazila of Patuakhali district, financial assistance cheques totaling Taka 5,70,000 were handed out to 57 underprivileged, disabled, and meritorious students. This initiative, aimed at supporting their education, was conducted by the Upazila Administration and the Upazila Social Services Office, with funding from the National Social Welfare Council. Each of the selected students received Taka 10,000, providing crucial support for their continued education and improved socio-economic status.

Event Details and Key Figures

The distribution ceremony was held at the Upazila Parishad auditorium, with Alhaj ABM Mosharraf Hossain, the local Member of Parliament, attending as the chief guest. The program was chaired by the Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), Md. Arifuzzaman, and conducted by the Upazila Social Services Officer, Md. Zahirul Islam. Other local dignitaries were also present, including Upazila Agriculture Officer Md. Arafat Hossain and Upazila Engineer Md. Moniruzzaman.
