In a proactive measure to bolster security and reduce crime rates, Bagerhat District Police have initiated special checkpost operations across the district, particularly along the Bagerhat-Khulna highway. These checkposts are part of a broader strategy to maintain law and order, prevent drug trafficking, and halt illegal activities, ensuring the safety of the public.

Coordinated Efforts Underway

The operations are being carried out jointly by personnel from various police stations, intelligence units, and traffic police, all under the supervision of Bagerhat Superintendent of Police Hasan Mohammad Nasher Rikabdar. Superintendent Rikabdar personally inspected a checkpost on Monday afternoon, engaging with the officers on duty and providing them with crucial instructions on crime prevention, law enforcement, drug control, and public safety.

This initiative reflects the district police's commitment to enhancing security measures and curbing criminal activities. The superintendent's direct involvement and inspection of the checkpost underscore the importance of these operations in the district's law enforcement strategy.

Sustained Operations to Ensure Safety

District police have stated that these special checkpost operations will continue as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen security across Bagerhat. By maintaining a visible police presence and conducting regular checks, the police aim to deter criminal activities and reassure the community of their safety.

The coordinated efforts involve multiple police units working together to monitor and manage traffic, enforce laws, and intercept illegal activities. These measures are crucial in maintaining a secure environment and preventing the rise of criminal behavior in the district.
