Fast bowler Taskin Ahmed has vowed that the Bangladesh cricket team will leave no stone unturned to make their first-ever Test tour to Australia a memorable one. The two-match Test series, beginning in Darwin on August 13 and followed by the second Test in Mackay from August 22, represents a significant challenge for the team. Taskin, who has previously played in Australia in various formats, expressed pride and determination ahead of the series.

A Proud Moment for Bangladesh Cricket

Taskin highlighted the honor of playing Test cricket on Australian soil, acknowledging the formidable challenge posed by the Australian team. Despite the difficulties, he remains hopeful of performing well. "It is a very proud moment for all our cricketers to play Test cricket on Australian soil and against Australia. The series will definitely not be easy for us, but we are hopeful of giving our best," Taskin told reporters in Darwin.

Learning from Past Experiences

Although Bangladesh suffered a heavy defeat against Cricket Australia XI in their warm-up match, Taskin remains optimistic. "The feeling of losing was certainly not pleasant. But that can happen in cricket. We are still trying to quickly adapt to the conditions and wickets here. Even though the match was lost, it was good preparation," he said. Bangladesh's previous encounters with Australia have been challenging, with only one victory in six Tests, though they recently won a three-match series 2-1 in Mirpur in June.

Taskin believes that recent success against Australia can provide additional confidence, although he stresses the difference between home and away conditions. "We all played a great series together and won against Australia, which gives us extra confidence to play against them. However, there is a big difference between home and away conditions. Let's see what happens this time," he concluded.
