Housing and Public Works Minister Zakaria Taher emphasized the importance of unity and collective action in the development of Barura. Speaking at the inaugural meeting of the Barura Upazila Janakalyan Samity, Taher called on all community members to collaborate for the betterment of their local area, irrespective of political affiliations, religion, or social background.
Taher announced a major initiative to pave all roads in Barura within the next two to three years. He revealed that around 300 roads are already included in various development projects, aiming to improve connectivity along key corridors. The minister also highlighted plans to establish a technical college and a 101-bed hospital to enhance education and healthcare services in the area.
The Barura Upazila Janakalyan Samity, under the leadership of President Md Shah Alam, aims to become a non-political, welfare-focused platform. The AGM discussed the organization's achievements and future plans, underscoring their commitment to the people's welfare. Taher pledged to remain accountable and keep the community informed about development progress.
