On August 4, 2026, MP Fahmida Haque lauded the Khulna Development Authority's (KDA) ongoing and future projects, stating they are crucial for Khulna's future, aiming to enhance housing, transport, and urban infrastructure. These initiatives include housing schemes, commercial complexes, community centers, overpasses, and wider roads designed to alleviate traffic congestion and improve connectivity as the city grows. Haque highlighted the Prime Minister's directive for timely, quality, and transparent project completion to avoid unnecessary hardships for residents.

During her visit to the KDA office, Haque reviewed the projects through a multimedia presentation and met with KDA Chairman Advocate S.M. Shafiqul Alam Mona and board members. She assured the KDA of her support and promised to coordinate with relevant ministries to secure necessary assistance for these development plans.

Haque emphasized the government's commitment to balanced national development under Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's leadership. She pledged to advocate for Khulna's development needs in the Jatiya Sangsad and expressed her dedication to enhancing the quality of life for Khulna residents through these projects.

These efforts reflect a broader initiative in Bangladesh to modernize urban areas and improve living standards, contributing to the nation's overall development goals.
