On August 10, 2026, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman urged all citizens to collaborate in realizing the vision of the martyrs of the July Mass Uprising. He emphasized that the sacrifices of those who fought for the country in 1971 and 2024 must be honored by ensuring their dreams of a Bangladesh where basic needs are met and everyone can live in peace are achieved.
During a program at the Secretariat, the Prime Minister highlighted that the martyrs laid down their lives for a noble cause and their sacrifices should be respected through continuous effort for the country's development. He encouraged everyone to contribute from their respective positions and to inspire others to do the same.
The Prime Minister also handed over cheques of financial assistance and honorary medals to the families of 10 Bangladesh Scouts members who were martyred during the July Mass Uprising. Bangladesh Scouts President Nasimul Gani suggested that the contributions of these martyrs be included in the national curriculum to educate future generations.
