Competitors aged 7 to 17 showcased their talents, with some wearing elaborate jumpsuits. While many their age may not even know Elvis's name, these competitors are exceptions. They have dedicated significant time and effort to emulate Elvis's voice, movements, and style.
These young performers prefer to be called 'tribute artists' rather than mere impersonators. Many wear costumes from 'B & K Enterprises,' a licensed costume company for Elvis's films, musicals, and TV appearances.
17-year-old Tucker Gladen from Mississippi said, 'We're not trying to be exact replicas of Elvis. We want to offer those who never saw him live a chance to experience that.' The youth's fascination with Elvis is largely due to the 2022 film 'Elvis.'
Some teenagers became fans after learning about their distant relation to Elvis, while others were inspired by his religious beliefs and community service. A few have been singing Elvis's songs since they were just three years old.
16-year-old Aiden Malloy from Logansport, Indiana, shared that Elvis's music provided him strength during tough times. He started singing Elvis's songs three years ago, inspired by the emotional healing he found in them.
