On August 3, 2026, the Rajshahi city unit of Jatiyatabadi Peshajibi Dal organized a tree plantation program at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET). The initiative aimed to promote environmental conservation, enhance greenery, and raise public awareness. As part of the Prime Minister's initiative to plant 25 crore trees over five years, participants planted 100 neem saplings across the RUET campus.

The event was attended by Abul Kalam Azad Sweet, Chairman of the Rajshahi Development Authority and Vice-President of Rajshahi city BNP, who served as the chief guest. Other notable attendees included Advocate Toufiq Ahsan Titu, President of Jatiyatabadi Peshajibi Dal's central executive committee, and several other leaders and activists from the Rajshahi metropolitan and district units.

Speakers at the event emphasized the importance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance, mitigating climate change impacts, and building a greener and more livable Bangladesh. They urged people from all walks of life to participate in tree plantation drives to protect the environment. The RUET authorities provided full cooperation for the successful execution of the program.

This tree plantation drive is a significant step towards achieving the Prime Minister's goal of planting 25 crore trees over the next five years. By increasing green spaces, the initiative aims to combat climate change and ensure a sustainable future for Bangladesh.

The event highlighted the collective effort needed to foster environmental conservation in the country, encouraging participation from various community sectors.
