Mehedi Hasan Miraz's remarkable form in the Caribbean Premier League continued as he guided Guyana Amazon Warriors to a six-wicket victory over Trinbago Knight Riders at Providence Stadium. Miraz, who made his CPL debut in the previous match, followed up his three-wicket haul with an even more impressive four-wicket performance, earning the Player of the Match award.

Put into bat, Trinbago Knight Riders got off to a flying start, reaching 41 in 4.3 overs. However, Miraz struck early, bowling Colin Munro for 26 off 16 balls. Imran Tahir, who had set a world record for the oldest player to claim a five-wicket haul at the age of 47 in the previous match, dismissed Alex Hales for 22. Justin Greaves top-scored for Trinbago with 35 off 37 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled.

Miraz's bowling performance was pivotal. He bowled Nicholas Pooran first ball and later dismissed Gudakesh Motie and Sunil Narine to finish with four wickets for 23 runs from his four overs. Shamar Joseph claimed two wickets as Trinbago were restricted to 126-8 in 20 overs. Guyana Amazon Warriors had a shaky start, losing openers Mavendra Dindyal and Glenn Phillips for 36, but Shimron Hetmyer and Shai Hope steadied the innings.

Hetmyer scored 42 off 35 balls, while Hope contributed 28 off 19 balls. Guyana reached 127-4 in 18.4 overs to secure their sixth-wicket victory. Miraz, who came in late in the innings, scored just two runs off 14 balls, but his outstanding bowling had already laid the foundation for Guyana's comfortable win. The victory kept Guyana Amazon Warriors at the top of the points table with 16 points from nine matches.

Miraz's performances have been a bright spot for Guyana Amazon Warriors in the CPL. His ability to take crucial wickets and contribute with the bat when needed has been invaluable. As the tournament progresses, Miraz's continued form will be crucial for Guyana's chances of securing a top spot in the points table.
