National Citizen Party (NCP) is planning to shift its focus from indoor activities like meetings, seminars, and press conferences to field politics post-Eid. The party aims to be more active at the grassroots level addressing issues like rising prices, fuel costs, citizen services, and workers' rights. This move is part of NCP's strategy to establish a stronger political presence ahead of the upcoming local government elections.
NCP leaders have indicated that the party will focus on public issues to become more relevant to everyday citizens. The party believes that by addressing daily concerns and being more vocal, it can gain the trust and support of the public.
The party has been expanding its organizational structure and attracting new members, including former leaders from other parties. NCP is also preparing for the local government elections, although it is yet to decide whether it will contest as a single party or as part of an alliance.
NCP has expressed its stance on constitutional reform, advocating for a Constitutional Reform Council instead of a parliamentary committee. The party is also navigating its relationship with Jamaat-e-Islami and other alliance partners as it seeks to clarify its political position.
