In a coordinated effort, the container ship MV CNC Uranus, which was stranded at the entrance of Chattogram Port, was successfully rescued after an overnight operation. The collaborative efforts of the Chattogram Port Authority, Bangladesh Navy, and Bangladesh Coast Guard ensured the ship was securely anchored at 'B' (Bravo) anchorage, maintaining the port's operational status.
The 170-meter-long vessel, en route from China, unexpectedly lost control while navigating the Karnaphuli river channel, resulting in a collision with a buoy and striking the retaining wall. Tugboats from the port, along with naval and coast guard tugboats, were instrumental in the rescue mission.
