A fire that erupted at BLISS Hospital in Satkhira was successfully contained by coordinated efforts from the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) and Fire Service personnel. The blaze, which broke out in the afternoon, was swiftly managed, and all patients were safely evacuated without any reported injuries.

Details of the Incident and Response

The fire began at the BLISS Hospital located in the Palashpol area near Chowrangi Mor, adjacent to Khulna Mor in Satkhira town. Upon receiving the emergency call, two platoons from the Satkhira Battalion (33 BGB) rushed to the scene, led by Commanding Officer Lieutenant Colonel Kazi Ashikur Rahman, equipped with necessary firefighting and rescue tools.

BGB personnel immediately joined the firefighting efforts and assisted the Fire Service in controlling the blaze. Their presence also ensured the security of the hospital premises during the evacuation process. All patients were safely removed from the hospital thanks to the collaborative efforts of the BGB and Fire Service teams.
