Health Minister Sardar Md Sakhawat Hossain has directed the immediate transfer of Chandpur Civil Surgeon Dr. Nure Alam Din following allegations of negligence in his duties. The decision was made during a surprise inspection of the Haimchar Upazila Health Complex, where the minister observed mismanagement and expressed dissatisfaction. Sakhawat visited Chandpur Government General Hospital and spoke to local journalists, announcing a new campaign to reduce the birth rate by the end of September.

During the visit, Sakhawat highlighted various forms of mismanagement and underutilization of equipment that had occurred during the previous government's tenure. He emphasized that these issues needed immediate attention to ensure the well-being of the population. The minister's visit was accompanied by Sheikh Farid Ahmed Manik MP, Deputy Commissioner Ahmed Ziaur Rahman, and hospital officials.
