In a tragic incident, three people lost their lives and two others were injured in a road accident in Bogura. The incident occurred around 7:30 AM on the Dhaka-Bogura Highway in the Chilimpur area, in front of the Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Medical College Hospital (SZMCH).
The deceased have been identified as Tapas Sarkar and his son Tibro Sarkar from Ramchandrapur village in Sherpur upazila, and truck driver Alamgir from Birampur in Dinajpur. The accident happened when a truck carrying cattle feed from Dhaka to the Hili border in Joypurhat experienced a burst tire on the flyover in front of SZMCH.
The truck's driver and helpers stopped on the highway to repair the tire. Unfortunately, another goods-laden truck, reportedly traveling at high speed from Dhaka, collided with them from behind. Tapas and Tibro, who were assisting with the tire change, were crushed and died on the spot.
Two other individuals sustained serious injuries and were immediately rescued by a team from the Fire Service and Civil Defence, who transported them to SZMCH for treatment. Sadly, one of the injured succumbed to their injuries while receiving medical care at the hospital.

Legal procedures are being followed, and the bodies have been kept at the SZMCH morgue. Sub-Inspector Monzur Morshed from Bogura Sadar Police Station stated that the police are investigating the scene and have initiated the necessary legal actions.
