Bangladesh Weather Update: Rain and Thunderstorms Predicted Across Multiple Divisions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department has issued a forecast predicting rain and thunderstorms across several divisions in the country.

Bangladesh is expected to experience light to moderate rain accompanied by thunderstorms and gusty winds in the next 24 hours, according to the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD). The rain is likely to impact many places over the Rangpur, Mymensingh, Chattogram, and Sylhet divisions, as well as some areas in Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna, and Barishal divisions.

The BMD bulletin warns that moderately heavy to heavy rainfall may occur at isolated locations. Temperatures are expected to remain relatively stable, with the highest temperature recorded at 35.5 degrees Celsius in Mymensingh on Saturday, and the lowest at 24 degrees Celsius in Bandarban. The past 24 hours saw the highest rainfall of 62 millimetres in Netrakona.
