Authorities have arrested a notorious fugitive who had been on the run for years after being sentenced to life in a robbery case. The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) conducted a successful operation in Mymensingh, leading to the apprehension of Md Jasim, also known as Syleti Jasim. Jasim, 39, was handed over to the Bhaluka Model Police Station for further legal proceedings.

Jasim, a resident of Mansurabad under Double Mooring Police Station in Chattogram, was convicted in a robbery case filed with the Khulshi Police Station in the Chattogram metropolitan area. After the court pronounced the life sentence, Jasim went into hiding. The RAB-7 and RAB-14 teams worked together to track down and capture him in the Gasline area under Bhaluka Police Station in Mymensingh.
