The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested eight people, including three accused named in the First Information Report (FIR) of Mohammad Sakib's murder in the Chattogram metropolitan area. A R M Mozaffar Hossain, Assistant Director (Media) of RAB-7, confirmed the arrests. Among those arrested are the accused listed as numbers 1, 2, and 3 in the FIR. The RAB initiated surveillance on the accused based on intelligence information following the murder and later arrested them in an operation.

Mohammad Sakib, 24, was critically injured after being stabbed by miscreants in the Chandgaon area on Wednesday evening. He was taken to Chattogram Medical College (CMC) Hospital around 7:15 pm, where he was declared dead by the attending physician. Sakib was the son of Najum Uddin, residing in the CMB Atgachtala area under Chandgaon police station.

The RAB's swift action in this case highlights their role in maintaining law and order in the region. The arrests are a significant step towards bringing the perpetrators to justice and ensuring that such violent crimes are met with a strong response from law enforcement agencies.
