In a significant breakthrough, law enforcement officials arrested two suspects linked to the murder of Maksudul Haque Chowdhury Masud, a prominent Jubo Dal leader, in Chattogram. The arrests were made by the District Detective Branch (DB) of police, who seized a foreign pistol, a magazine, and ammunition during a raid. The suspects are closely associated with the notorious terrorist Raihan.

Maksudul Haque Chowdhury, the Vice President of Rangunia Upazila Jubo Dal, was fatally shot on June 13 in the Pahartali area of Raozan. Following the incident, police identified the suspects through CCTV footage, technical data, and intelligence reports. The suspects, Md. Didar Alam and Md. Afsar Mia, were apprehended during a raid at a check post in Shitalpur, Sitakunda upazila.
