Detective Branch Police in Chattogram have apprehended two suspects in the murder of a Jubo Dal leader, recovering firearms based on their information.

In a significant development, police in Chattogram have arrested two individuals believed to be associates of a notorious criminal, Raihan, in connection with the murder of Maksudul Haque Chowdhury, the Vice-President of Rangunia Upazila Jubo Dal. The arrests and recovery of firearms were announced by Chattogram Superintendent of Police Md. Masud Alam during a press conference.

The operation led to the recovery of a foreign-made pistol, a magazine, and two rounds of 7.65-calibre ammunition concealed underground in the Jurerkul area of Raozan Upazila, following a raid based on information provided by the suspects, Md. Didar Alam and Md. Afsar Mia. Both men, facing multiple charges, admitted to involvement in organized criminal activities and extortion.
