Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today handed over job appointment letters to 10 family members of martyrs and seriously injured persons from the July Mass Uprising. The event took place at the Prime Minister’s office in Tejgaon this afternoon. The recipients included the wives and sisters of those who lost their lives or were severely injured during the uprising.

Recognition of Sacrifices

After handing over the appointment letters, Prime Minister Rahman spoke with the family members and inquired about their wellbeing. He emphasized the importance of recognizing the sacrifices made by individuals from the 1971 Liberation War to the July Movement of 2024. "Those whom we have lost, those who were physically injured or otherwise affected—all their sacrifices were driven by a single aspiration- to make Bangladesh a better country," he said.

Moving Forward

The Prime Minister acknowledged the various limitations faced by the state and the government but stressed the need to continue moving forward based on reality. "What we received is not the most important thing. Rather, what we were able to give to the country is what matters most," he noted. He added that efforts would continue to ensure due recognition of the sacrifices made by those who were killed or injured during the July Movement.

Gratitude and Presence

Fatema Tuz Zohra, mother of martyr Abdullah Bin Zahid, who recently joined government service, and injured July fighter Soheli Tamanna were also present at the program and met the Prime Minister. The family members expressed their gratitude after receiving the appointment letters. Prime Minister’s Additional Press Secretary Atikur Rahman Ruman and Amra BNP Poribar Member Secretary agriculturist Moksedul Momin Mithun were also in attendance.
