Trump Media & Technology Group, the parent company of former US President Donald Trump's Truth Social, revealed on Monday that it has begun selling early access to Trump's posts through a service called Truth API. Despite the new revenue stream, the company reported a significant increase in losses for the second quarter of 2026, marking a tenfold rise from the same period last year.
Revenue from Early Access to Trump's Posts
The Truth API service, launched in August, allows customers to pay between $60,000 and $100,000 per month for early access to Trump's posts on Truth Social. Interim CEO Kevin McGurn confirmed the new product's success, stating that more than ten customer agreements have been signed, though specific clients were not named.
Financial Performance
The company reported a substantial loss of $238.1 million for the quarter ending June 30, 2026, compared to a $20 million loss in the same quarter of 2025. The increased loss was primarily due to declines in non-cash assets, including over $190 million in losses from digital assets, digital assets pledged, and equity securities.
Merger with TAE Technologies
Despite the financial challenges, Trump Media & Technology Group remains optimistic about its future, especially regarding its proposed merger with nuclear-fusion company TAE Technologies, which is expected to be completed in 2026.
