In a series of coordinated efforts, Dhaka police detained 64 individuals in Paltan and Tejgaon over the past day. This significant action highlights the city's ongoing battle against crime in some of its most notorious hotspots.
Operation Details
The operations were carried out by the Paltan Police and the Tejgaon Division, focusing on various crime-prone areas. The Paltan Police managed to apprehend 13 individuals during a day-long drive targeting those allegedly involved in criminal activities.
Simultaneously, the Tejgaon Division conducted operations that resulted in the arrest of 51 individuals. These arrests were spread across multiple neighborhoods, including Mohammadpur, Hatirjheel, Adabor, Tejgaon Industrial Area, and Sher-e-Bangla Nagar.
The Tejgaon Division's efforts saw the highest number of arrests in Mohammadpur, with 19 individuals taken into custody. Other areas like Hatirjheel, Adabor, and the Tejgaon Industrial Area also saw significant numbers of arrests, underscoring the breadth of the police's crackdown.
