On Monday, the Bagerhat Zilla Parishad launched a tree plantation campaign in Kachua, part of a broader initiative to plant 250 million trees nationwide. The campaign, aimed at enhancing environmental balance and addressing climate change, began with sapling planting in the Masani area of Badhal Union and at a local educational institution.

Barrister Sheikh Mohammad Zakir Hossain, the Zilla Parishad Administrator, highlighted the importance of tree plantation for environmental sustainability and future generations. The campaign will gradually expand to other upazilas in Bagerhat.
