The Bangladesh Army has conducted two separate operations in Panchhari and Ramgarh upazilas of Khagrachhari district, killing a member of an armed group and recovering a large cache of arms and ammunition. The operations targeted armed terrorists in the Barkalk area of Panchhari upazila and the Hajachhara area of Ramgarh upazila.
Details of the Operations
In the first operation in Barkalk, Panchhari upazila, members of the armed group opened fire on the army, leading to an exchange of gunfire. During this confrontation, two members of the armed group surrendered. The army recovered two AK-47 rifles, two magazines, and 132 rounds of ammunition from them.
In a separate operation in Hajachhara, Ramgarh upazila, one member of the armed group was killed during an exchange of fire. The army recovered an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, a pipe gun, 27 rounds of ammunition, and other items from the scene.
