The Khulna Development Authority (KDA) is set to transform Rupsha New Market, one of Khulna city's most vital commercial hubs, into a modern and efficient business centre. KDA Chairman Advocate SM Shafiqul Alam Mona emphasized the market's importance, stating that it serves thousands of shoppers daily and is a key economic driver for the region.

As part of this modernization effort, KDA is planning to construct a multi-storey commercial complex to enhance the market's environment and make it more attractive to buyers and traders. Mona highlighted that the project aligns with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman's directives for urban development and commercial expansion in the Khulna region.
