Dhaka police have arrested 26 leaders and activists of the banned Awami League (AL) and its associate bodies from various areas of the capital. The arrests were made during the last 24 hours through separate operations conducted by 18 police stations in the city. According to a press release from the media and public relations division of the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP), such operations will continue in the future to maintain law and order in the city.

Ramna Model Police Station arrested two individuals, Shahbagh one, Dhanmondi one, Hazaribagh one, Bangshal one, Sutrapur one, Sabujbagh one, Kadamtali one, Tejgaon two, Shilpanchal two, Mirpur three, Pallabi one, Kafrul one, Darussalam three, Bhatara two, Uttara West one, Airport one, and Turag one.
