In a powerful address at the July Memorial Rally 2026 in Cumilla, Agriculture and Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid called on the nation to remain united and vigilant to protect democratic and economic freedoms. He highlighted the potential of Bangladesh, a country that has overcome past injustices and economic setbacks through collective effort.

Rashid stressed that the nation's unity in resisting injustice is crucial to preventing conspiracies that could hinder Bangladesh's democratic progress. He acknowledged the natural differences of opinion in a democratic society but emphasized the importance of mutual respect and tolerance.

The minister noted the government's commitment to addressing the needs of those injured during the July uprising, providing financial assistance through humanitarian organization Bibek. He also praised the efforts of Cumilla City Corporation Administrator and Bibek founding chairman Yusuf Molla Tipu, who spoke as the keynote speaker at the rally.

The rally, attended by Cumilla Deputy Commissioner Ms Rozy Akter and other officials, served as a reminder of the sacrifices made during the July uprising. Rashid assured that the government is prioritizing the treatment and rehabilitation of the injured, and has initiated measures to enhance medical care and welfare services.

Rashid's remarks underscore the importance of continued vigilance and unity in Bangladesh, essential for safeguarding the country's democratic values and economic stability.
