Child actors Bhuban Gagan and Shayan Mirza, who played younger versions of Shakib Khan in the movie 'Rockstar', had to deal with school hair regulations during filming. Gagan, aged seven, and Shayan, aged thirteen, were required to keep their hair long to match their characters in the film. This led to issues with their school, where long hair is not typically allowed. Gagan faced complaints from his class teacher, while Shayan had to avoid school for the last week before shooting to prevent his hair from being cut.
Both actors had to balance their studies with their acting careers. Gagan, a first-grader at the YWCA School in Dhaka, and Shayan, who has previously acted in dramas and web films, had to manage their schoolwork alongside their shooting schedules. Gagan enjoys playing football and can play the ukulele, while Shayan loves reading and aspires to be an engineer.
Despite the challenges, both actors had positive experiences on set. Gagan met Shakib Khan and got an autograph, while Shayan interacted with other cast members like Dilara Zaman, Sabila Nur, and Tariq Anam Khan. The movie 'Rockstar', released during Eid-ul-Azha, marks the first film roles for both Gagan and Shayan.
