গরুর মেন্দার is a traditional Bangladeshi dish made with beef, a variety of spices, and rice flour. The recipe involves marinating the beef with whole and ground spices, cooking it with oil, and then adding a rice flour slurry to achieve the desired consistency.

Ingredients

The required ingredients include 2 kg beef, 1 cup oil, 1 cup chopped onions, whole garam masala, 2 tbsp ginger paste, 1.5 tbsp garlic paste, 1 tsp fenugreek powder, 1 tsp mustard paste, 1 tsp almond paste, 2 tbsp chili powder, 2 tbsp cumin powder, 1.5 tbsp turmeric powder, 1 tbsp coriander powder, 1 tsp cumin seeds, salt to taste, 0.5 tsp nutmeg and mace powder, and 2 tbsp rice flour.

Preparation Steps

Marinate the beef with all whole and ground spices. Add salt and oil, then cook on the stove. After half an hour, stir and cover with a little water. After 15 minutes, mix rice flour with 1 cup of water and pour it in. Stir and add more water if needed. When oil rises to the top, remove from heat.
