The Secondary and Higher Education Division of the Ministry of Education has announced a revised holiday schedule for Eid-ul-Azha for both government and private colleges. The new schedule starts from May 22 (Friday) and ends on June 6, 2026. Excluding weekly holidays, the total holiday duration is 10 days, making it 16 days including weekends. The previous schedule, announced on December 30, 2025, had holidays from May 24 to June. The new schedule adjusts the start date to May 22 and ends on June 6, 2026.

Educational institutions across the country began their Eid-ul-Azha and summer vacation on May 21 (Thursday) after the last classes. Primary, secondary schools, and colleges will have a 16-day holiday, while madrasa institutions will have a 23-day holiday.

According to the revised academic calendar (holiday list) for 2026, published by the Secondary and Higher Education Division, Technical and Madrasa Education Division, and Primary and Mass Education Ministry, the Eid and summer holidays start from May 24. However, due to the weekly holidays on May 22 and 23, the last classes were held on May 21.
