A nationwide Artificial Intelligence (AI) training programme has been launched under the Department of Youth Development project titled ‘Skills Development of IT-Knowledgeable Youth through Artificial Intelligence (AI) Technology’ to equip young people with AI-based skills. State Minister for Youth and Sports Md. Aminul Hoque inaugurated the programme at the Mom Inn Auditorium in Bogura. Around 2,000 trainees, project officials, trainers, and coordinators from different districts joined the event virtually.

Speaking at the inaugural function, Aminul Hoque urged young people to acquire and utilize skills for employment opportunities. He highlighted the government’s efforts to prepare youth for technology-driven workplaces through AI-based skills development. The training aims to create opportunities for employment and self-employment.

State Minister for Local Government Mir Shah Alam and State Minister for Public Administration Md. Abdul Bari were also present. Mir Shah Alam emphasized the importance of technology-based skills for expanding local employment opportunities. Md. Abdul Bari stressed the role of such training in developing skilled human resources in information technology.

Managing Director of e-Learning and Earning Limited Masud Alam noted that the project is designed to develop AI-based skills, allowing trainees to use modern AI tools required by domestic and international job markets. In the first phase, 1,600 trainees, with 25 selected from each of the country's 64 districts, have been enrolled. Training will be conducted in 448 batches, with 25 participants in each batch, running for two months and including 50 classes comprising a total of 300 hours of training.

At the event, laptops were distributed to eight top-earning freelancers at the divisional level under the ongoing freelancing project of the Department of Youth Development. Additionally, 24 freelancers from different districts of Rajshahi Division were presented with honorary crests.
