In Rajshahi, a fish release and tree plantation program was held to commemorate the 48th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP). Rajshahi Development Authority (RDA) Chairman Abul Kalam Azad Sweet led the initiative by releasing various species of fish into the RDA Park and Bhadra Lake. Approximately one maund of fish, including Rui and Katla, were introduced to the lake with the goal of boosting fish production, conserving biodiversity, and maintaining environmental balance.

Alongside the fish release, Chairman Sweet planted several saplings in the RDA Park as part of the tree plantation program. The event saw the participation of notable figures such as former Jubodal convener Abdul Quader Bakul, former president of Ward number 27 BNP Abdus Sattar, former organizational secretary Mahbubul Haque Minu, and other leaders and activists of BNP and its affiliated organizations.

The program emphasized the importance of protecting the natural environment of the water body, enhancing fish production, and conserving local aquatic resources. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to environmental conservation and sustainable practices within the community.
