The Institute of Cost and Management Accountants of Bangladesh (ICMAB) has launched the ESG Center to promote sustainability, governance, and responsible business practices. Positioned as a leader in the accounting and finance profession, ICMAB's initiative reflects its commitment to integrating ESG principles into corporate and public-sector decision-making.
What is the purpose of the ESG Center?
The ESG Center aims to serve as a platform for professional capacity building, research, technical guidance, and knowledge development on ESG and sustainability. It will focus on connecting local professionals and organizations with international sustainability practices and strengthening the capacity of accountants to meet growing ESG expectations.
Who inaugurated the Center?
The President of ICMAB, Md. Kausar Alam FCMA, formally inaugurated the Center in the presence of Professor Dr. Md. Salim Uddin FCMA, Chairman of the SDG and ESG Committee, and other key figures from ICMAB.
What will the Center focus on?
The Center will focus on promoting the integration of ESG principles into corporate and public-sector decision-making.
