A preparatory meeting was convened in Rajshahi to organize the upcoming Regional SME Product Fair-2026, scheduled for September 12, 2026, at Nazrul Village. The fair, organized by the Small and Medium Enterprise Foundation under the Ministry of Industries in collaboration with the District Administration, aims to provide a platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products and expand their market reach.
Importance of the Fair
Deputy Commissioner Kazi Shahidul Islam highlighted the significance of the SME sector in driving the country's economy. He emphasized that such fairs are crucial for promoting locally manufactured products, expanding market access, and fostering new entrepreneurial ventures.
Preparations Underway
Additional Deputy Commissioner Sabur Ali outlined the necessary preparations being taken to ensure the fair's success. He urged all concerned departments and organizations to collaborate in areas such as stall management, security, publicity, visitor facilities, and overall management.

The meeting was attended by several key officials, including Chief Executive Officer of Rajshahi Zila Parishad Umme Fatima, Manager of SME Foundation Abu Sayeed, President of Bangladesh Silk Industry Owners Association Liakat Ali, and Director of Rajshahi Chamber of Commerce Ziauddin Ahmed, among others.
