In a series of coordinated actions, Dhaka police arrested 25 individuals in Mugda and Khilkhet, targeting crime-prone areas. These arrests were part of special operations aimed at curbing criminal activities. Legal proceedings are ongoing against the detainees, who are alleged to be involved in various offenses.
Arrests in Mugda and Khilkhet
The Mugda police division apprehended 15 people, while Khilkhet police arrested 10 during their operations on Monday. The individuals were taken into custody on suspicion of engaging in regular criminal activities. Authorities are currently processing legal actions against them.
Snatcher Caught in Motijheel
In a separate incident, Traffic Sergeant Md Sahadat Mir from the Motijheel Division played a crucial role in catching a snatcher. With the help of the public, Mir arrested Md Raju, 26, who was attempting to flee after allegedly stealing an earring from a woman near Shapla Chattar. The stolen earring was recovered and returned to the victim, and Raju was handed over to the Motijheel Model Police Station for further legal proceedings.
