Bangladesh is participating in the Home Show Brazil 2026 in Sao Paulo, with the goal of expanding its export market and exploring new opportunities in South America. The three-day event, which started on August 11, is being held at Distrito Anhembi and is supported financially by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and managed by the Bangladesh Embassy in Brasilia.
Diverse Exhibits from Bangladesh
Four Bangladeshi companies—Jihan Plastic Industries, Mother Tannery, Rainbow Jute, and Classical Handmade Products—are exhibiting their products across five booths at the trade fair. The booths feature a range of products including jute goods, bags, leather products, natural-fiber baskets, home décor items, bamboo products, terracotta and clay products, and Nakshi Kantha. The EPB and Bangladesh Embassy have also set up a dedicated booth displaying brochures, leaflets, and publications on Bangladesh's exportable products, along with audio-visual materials highlighting the export sector.
The Bangladesh pavilion was formally inaugurated on the first day of the fair, with officials from the Bangladesh Embassy, representatives from Brazilian government agencies, fair organizers, and participating companies in attendance. The stalls attracted a growing number of visitors and buyers, and several business-to-business meetings took place. Visitors expressed appreciation for the quality of Bangladeshi products, with some showing interest in making purchases.
Seminar and Future Prospects
As part of the fair's events, a seminar titled 'Production and Export of Home and Lifestyle Products from Bangladesh' is scheduled for today. The seminar is expected to be attended by representatives from various Brazilian business organizations and foreign buyers. The organizers hope that Bangladesh's participation in Home Show Brazil 2026 will create new opportunities for promoting and marketing Bangladeshi home décor and lifestyle products in the Latin American market.
This initiative is also expected to help Bangladeshi exporters establish new business contacts, identify potential buyers, and diversify the country's export destinations in the region. The event underscores Bangladesh's commitment to expanding its global trade footprint and tapping into new markets.
