A Quiet Life, Significant Legacy

Koko's life was marked by a blend of political heritage and personal modesty. He remained away from the political limelight, focusing instead on his role in sports administration. From 2002 to 2005, Koko was associated with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), where he played a crucial role in keeping cricket free from political interference and promoting the sport across the country.

His efforts in sports were widely recognized, and his contributions continue to be remembered. Today, BNP leaders and activists are paying tribute to Koko by visiting his grave at Banani graveyard. A discussion will also be held at the BNP central office in Nayapaltan, and a 'Doa Mahfil' is scheduled at the Media Centre of Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur at 5:30 pm.

Remembering a Sports Visionary

Koko's death in 2015 due to a heart attack in Malaysia was a significant loss for Bangladesh's sports community. He is survived by his wife, Sharmila Rahman, and their two daughters, Zafia Rahman and Zahia Rahman. His legacy in sports continues to inspire many, and his efforts to develop cricket and other sports remain a benchmark.

Koko's life and work highlight the importance of dedication to sports without political entanglements. His contributions have left an indelible mark on Bangladesh's sports history, and his memory is honored through various events and tributes today.
