On August 11, 2026, a dua and milad mahfil was arranged by the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat, attended by Acting Speaker of Bangladesh Jatiya Sangsad Barrister Kayser Kamal, MP, to honor the late former acting President and Speaker Barrister Muhammad Jamiruddin Sircar. The event, held after Zuhr prayers at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban mosque, began with recitations from the Holy Quran.

Prayers were offered for the eternal peace of Sircar’s soul, as well as for Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman, former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia, valiant freedom fighters, and those who sacrificed their lives in the country’s democratic movements. Special prayers were also directed towards the President, Prime Minister, Acting Speaker, Cabinet members, and for the nation's peace and prosperity.

The event emphasized the importance of peace and unity among the Muslim Ummah and the successful functioning of the Jatiya Sangsad. Secretary of the Bangladesh Parliament Secretariat, officials, employees, and other notable figures participated in the solemn gathering.

This collective prayer event underscores the significance of honoring national leaders and their contributions, fostering a sense of unity and respect within the nation’s political landscape.

The gathering not only pays tribute to the departed soul of Sircar but also reflects the importance of collective remembrance in maintaining national solidarity and progress in Bangladesh.
