A seminar in Dhaka highlighted Japan’s growing opportunities for skilled Bangladeshi workers, focusing on the importance of Japanese-language proficiency, professional skills, and workplace discipline. The event, titled 'Today’s Training, Tomorrow’s Journey to Japan,' was organized by Heartful Limited, a Japanese Language and Technical Training School, at the Bangladesh Coast Guard Technical Training Institute (BCGTTI). It brought together Japanese guests, Bangladesh Coast Guard representatives, trainees, guardians, and company officials.
Skill Development and Cultural Adaptation
Speakers at the seminar stressed the need for Bangladeshi youth to acquire both technical and professional skills, as well as an understanding of Japanese workplace culture. Managing Director of Heartful Limited, Murad Hassan Zenith, said the company aims to prepare trainees for long-term careers in Japan, not just employment. He emphasized that obtaining a training certificate should be seen as the start of a professional journey.
Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation
The seminar underscored the importance of Japanese-language education as a key component of skills development for Japan-bound opportunities. Chairman of Heartful Limited, Yoshida Tomohiro, highlighted the potential for stronger human-resource cooperation between Bangladesh and Japan through skills development and responsible international employment. He noted that acquiring professional skills could serve as a bridge between the two countries, creating greater economic and career opportunities for Bangladeshi youth while helping meet Japan’s demand for skilled workers.
The event also featured a certificate distribution ceremony for successful trainees from the first, second, and third batches. The organizers encouraged the trainees to use their training and language skills as a foundation for pursuing employment opportunities in Japan. The programme reflected Heartful Limited’s efforts to strengthen Bangladesh-Japan human-resource cooperation by preparing young Bangladeshis for the Japanese labour market and helping them adapt to the country’s professional environment.
