State Minister for Land and Chattogram Hill Tracts Affairs Barrister Mir Mohammad Helal Uddin today said fine arts reflect the civilization and identity of a nation, expressing hope that young people would continue to be inspired by art and culture.
"May our young people be illuminated by the light of art and culture. These beautiful artworks remind us of our indomitable courage and legacy of sacrifice," he said while visiting the concluding day of the art exhibition titled 'Struggle for Rights' at the National Art Gallery of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
Exhibition Overview
According to a press release, the exhibition portrayed Bangladesh's seven-decade struggle for democratic rights from 1952 to 2024 through the language of art. Mir Helal praised the initiative, describing it as an exceptional effort to present the nation's history through creative expression.

He said that despite challenges over the past 17 years, young people had continued to pursue artistic expression, adding that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has recognized the importance of sports, culture and the arts. Mir Helal also highlighted the role of state patronage in promoting arts and culture in Bangladesh.
