Scout Adventure and Scout Day 2026 were observed in Manikganj today with an attractive display and cultural programme at the Shaheed Miraj-Tapon Stadium. The event featured various displays highlighting humanitarian values, leadership, and patriotism. Food Minister Afroza Khanam Rita attended as the chief guest, emphasizing the importance of discipline, honesty, responsibility, and patriotism for Scouts. She assured initiatives to establish a modern Scout Bhaban and a swimming pool for Scouts' training.

Deputy Commissioner and President of Manikganj District Scouts Nazmun Ara presided over the programme. Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) and Manikganj District Scouts Commissioner Khayrul Islam, along with Scout commissioners and secretaries from all seven upazilas of the district, attended the event. The displays showcased the Scouts' commitment to community service and their role in promoting social values.

The Scout movement in Bangladesh has a rich history, dating back to its inception in the early 20th century. It aims to develop young individuals into responsible and engaged citizens through various activities and training programs. The observance of Scout Day is an annual event that brings together Scouts from different regions to celebrate their achievements and renew their commitment to serving the community.
