Disaster Management and Relief Minister Asadul Habib Dulu has instructed the Lalmonirhat District Hospital (LDH) authorities to make the most of the hospital's existing resources. Speaking at a hospital management committee meeting, he emphasized the need for effective resource utilization, cleanliness, and the prevention of irregularities and corruption. Dulu stressed that the hospital should not merely point out shortages but should ensure the efficient use of available resources.
Dulu highlighted that Lalmonirhat, being a border district, has relatively fewer healthcare facilities despite having a 250-bed hospital. He noted shortages in manpower and other facilities but informed that the government has initiated the process of appointing new doctors. He directed the hospital authorities to ensure that outsourcing employees do not exploit patients and to maintain a clean environment by planting permanent flower trees and eliminating any unpleasant odors, dirt, and garbage.
The minister urged hospital officials to consult him on any issues and report any complaints. He stressed the importance of public cooperation for the development of the country, stating that everyone's contribution is crucial for Bangladesh's progress. The meeting was attended by Lalmonirhat Deputy Commissioner Muhammad Rashedul Haque Pradhan, District Council Administrator KM Mominul Haque, Civil Surgeon Dr Md Abdul Hakim, Superintendent of the 250-bed LDH Dr Md. Abu-Al-Hajjaj, Additional Superintendent of Police (A-Circle) KM Fazlul Haque, members of the hospital management committee, and journalists.
Later, Minister Dulu inaugurated the distribution of high-quality food to patients at the hospital on the occasion of the founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Swechchasebak Dal. This initiative is part of broader efforts to enhance patient care and satisfaction at LDH. The minister's directives aim to address the challenges faced by the hospital and improve the overall healthcare services provided to the community.
