In an effort to address the growing concerns over dengue, the Khulna City Corporation (KCC) has launched a comprehensive program to control mosquito populations and reduce dengue cases in Khulna. The initiative was officially inaugurated by KCC Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju at two government colleges, underscoring the urgency of the situation. Manju emphasized the importance of community participation in maintaining cleanliness to prevent the spread of dengue.
To effectively manage the mosquito control operations, KCC has divided the city into three zones, each overseen by a committee led by the KCC secretary, chief engineer, and chief revenue officer. This strategic division aims to ensure thorough coverage and efficient execution of the control measures. The operation has been intensified as part of a broader effort to tackle the dengue crisis.
Key officials from various departments, including the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Engineer, Secretary, Chief Revenue Officer, and Chief Health Officer, were present at the inauguration.
