ICSB Delegation Led by President Mohammad Shahajahan Visits BSEC Chairman Masud Khan

A delegation from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB) met with Masud Khan, Chairman of the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), to discuss professional development and corporate governance.

On August 13, 2026, a delegation from the Institute of Chartered Secretaries of Bangladesh (ICSB), led by its President, Mohammad Shahajahan, visited the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) to discuss initiatives aimed at professional development and corporate governance. The delegation met with Masud Khan, Chairman of BSEC, in his office located in Sher-E-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka.

During the meeting, President Mohammad Shahajahan introduced the delegation and highlighted the various activities undertaken by ICSB to enhance the skills of its members. The delegation discussed future plans and the role of ICSB in promoting professionalism within the Company Secretaries profession in Bangladesh.

The ICSB delegation also extended their congratulations to Hossain Sadat, the Commissioner of BSEC, on his recent appointment. The BSEC Chairman expressed appreciation for ICSB's efforts in professional development and emphasized the importance of good corporate governance in the corporate sector of Bangladesh.

Khan expressed optimism about the future of corporate governance in the country, thanks to the initiatives of the BSEC. He assured the ICSB delegation of his full support and commitment to collaborating with the institute to achieve their common goals.

In response, the ICSB delegation expressed gratitude for the Chairman's time and support, highlighting the significance of continued guidance in achieving their objectives. Key members of the ICSB, including Senior Vice President Md. Rafiqul Islam, Vice President Md. Sharif Hasan, Treasurer Md. Mizanur Rahman, and Secretary and Chief Executive Officer Md. Shabbirul Alam Chowdhury, were present during the meeting.

This visit underscores the collaborative efforts between ICSB and BSEC to foster a robust and professional environment in the corporate sector of Bangladesh.
