The measles outbreak in Bangladesh shows no signs of abating, with five more children succumbing to the disease in the past day. Since the outbreak began on March 15, a total of 885 children have died from measles and measles-like symptoms, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

In the last 24 hours, 941 new suspected measles cases and 84 confirmed cases were reported. The country has detected 139,125 suspected measles cases since the outbreak, with 17,469 confirmed as measles infections. The situation has led to 104,717 patients being hospitalized, with 101,056 recovered and discharged.
