Four people tragically lost their lives in separate incidents in Gazipur and Gopalganj districts last night. Two individuals were killed after being struck by a train in Gopalganj, while another died after being hit by a pickup van in Gazipur. A fourth person died due to a wall collapse in Gazipur. Authorities have initiated investigations into these incidents.

What happened in Gopalganj?

Two people, Mehedi Sheikh and Hasib Gazi, were killed after being crushed under the wheels of the Khulna-bound express train 'Ruposhi Bangla' near Maheshpur rail station in Gopalganj. Locals discovered their bodies this morning, and police have recovered the remains. The victims were from Kashiani upazila.

What happened in Gazipur?

In Gazipur, Md Zahid Hossain, a motorcyclist, was killed after being hit by a pickup van near the Kaliganj-Ghorashal bypass. The driver fled the scene, and the incident occurred when Hossain was heading towards Ghorashal. Additionally, Matiur Rahman died in a wall collapse in the Jamalpur union of Kaliganj upazila.
