Rajshahi Stars FC, with a new jersey and sponsor, are intensifying their preparations for the AFC Women's Champions League. The team welcomed Nepalese defender Bimala BK, who previously played for the Bangladesh Women's Football League champions, during their fourth training session on Wednesday. Bimala expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to represent Rajshahi and emphasized the importance of the team's success over individual achievements.

Bimala highlighted that while she hopes to make Nepalese supporters proud, her primary focus is on helping the team advance to the second round of the tournament. Rajshahi's goalkeeping duties will be shared among Rupna Chakma, Swarna Rani, and Surodhwani Kisku. Goalkeeping coach Rabiul Hasan Khan expressed confidence in the trio, stating that he is developing strategies to ensure their optimal performance in the upcoming competition.

Rajshahi Stars are scheduled to depart for Malaysia on August 15, pending final arrangements. The team's participation in the AFC Women's Champions League is significant for Bangladesh, as it represents the nation's dedication to advancing women's football and showcasing its talents on an international stage.
