In a ceremony held at the newly constructed TSC Auditorium, Kazi Nazrul Islam University welcomed its new students for the 2025-2026 academic year. The event, attended by the Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed, and the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain, underscored the institution's dedication to fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Addressing the new students, Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed emphasized the importance of combining talent with perseverance. He highlighted the UGC's plan to digitally transform all universities in the country within the next two years and assured that Kazi Nazrul Islam University would receive special priority in addressing any challenges, including faculty shortages.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain spoke about the university's commitment to research and innovation as key drivers of its development. He announced initiatives to establish faculties in basic sciences and transform the university into a smart institution within a short timeframe.

The orientation ceremony, attended by deans, proctors, faculty members, and a large number of students, began with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Sakhawat Hossain Sarkar, Dean of the Business Administration Faculty and Chairman of the Orientation Sub-Committee. The event was managed by Dr. Mohammad Ashraful Alam, Director of the Student Counseling and Guidance Department.

New students were welcomed with garlands and provided with educational kits. Students Shoukat Iqbal, Mrittika Dutt Preeti, Habibur Rahman Habib, and Mamun Sarkar shared their feelings on behalf of the new cohort.
