Mikel Arteta has revealed that he has had challenging conversations with forwards Gabriel Martinelli and Gabriel Jesus, both of whom seem poised to leave Arsenal. Martinelli is rumored to be moving to Saudi side Al Hilal for a potential fee of up to €50 million ($68 million). Jesus, who has struggled with injuries and fallen down the pecking order, is entering the final year of his contract and was not included in training on Thursday.

Arteta expressed his admiration for Martinelli, stating, 'I think everybody knows and recognises how much we love Gabi (Martinelli). Whatever the outcome is, it will be because everybody agrees to that.' Regarding Jesus, Arteta noted, 'It's something to do with the numbers that we have in the squad at the moment and the way we're managing that kind of situation individually with all the players -- they have some personal situations.'

Arsenal has been linked with a move for Atletico Madrid's Julian Alvarez to bolster their forward line. However, Arteta declined to comment on any interest in Alvarez, saying, 'Don't go there. I'm not going to make any comment about any player that is not with us.' Meanwhile, Ezri Konsa has already joined Arsenal and could make his debut against Aston Villa after a €51 million move. Bruno Guimaraes may also be fit to make his first appearance for Arsenal after recovering from a groin injury.
