In a significant achievement, the Mymensingh Education Board has reported a 57.39% pass rate in the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examinations this year, with a total of 60,274 students successfully passing out of the 105,028 who appeared for the exams. Among those who passed, 28,372 were boys and 31,902 were girls, showcasing a remarkable performance by female students.
The announcement was made by Mymensingh Education Board Secretary Professor Md. Enamul Haque at a press briefing held on August 10, 2026. He highlighted that not only did girls outperform boys in terms of the pass rate, but they also secured more positions in the prestigious GPA-5 category. Out of the 5,700 students who achieved GPA-5, 2,621 were boys, and 3,079 were girls.
This year's SSC examination was participated by 75,855 students from 1,344 educational institutions under the Mymensingh Education Board. The exams were held at 188 centers across the region, ensuring a widespread and organized evaluation process. The results reflect a concerted effort by the educational institutions and the board to enhance the quality of education and student performance.
During the briefing, Professor Md. Enamul Haque was joined by Deputy Controller of Examinations Md. Sirajul Islam and Controller of Examinations Professor Md. Shahadat Molla, who together emphasized the importance of continued support for educational initiatives in the region. The board officials also acknowledged the hard work of students, teachers, and parents who contributed to this year's success.
